It is the museum where the most precious treasure in the world is kept. It was opened to the public in December 2003 thanks to a project financed by private companies, European funds and local institutions and under the high Patronage of the President of the Republic Ciampi, and on the proposal of the Deputation of the Royal Chapel of the Treasure, an ancient secular institution founded in 1601.
